Job description
We’re seeking an experienced DevOps Team Leader to join our Platform Team, which is responsible for our platform and infrastructure.
About the Platform Team
We’re the team behind the tools, platforms and infrastructure that power our entire engineering organization. We operate at the intersection of infrastructure, tooling and process, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and developer experience. Our mission is to provide a seamless, standardized and automated environment that enables teams to go from idea to deployment faster and with greater confidence. We deliver solutions that reduce complexity, improve deployment speed, and elevate the way our engineers build and ship products.
Once you join the Team, you will be responsible for:
Setting the technical direction for DevOps in the organization
Leading and growing a team of DevOps engineers – setting goals, mentoring, and removing blockers
Partnering with engineering teams to identify pain points and deliver high-impact solutions that make their lives easier
Managing the DevOps budget – ensuring we invest wisely and with impact
Improving resilience, observability, and performance across environments
In the role of Platform Team Leader, we expect that you will:
Take ownership of the direction of internal platforms and tooling
Be hands-on when needed – whether it’s troubleshooting an incident, designing an architecture, or improving a CI/CD pipeline
Proactively seek ways to reduce friction in the software delivery lifecycle
Bring clarity and focus to complex technical and organizational challenges
Keep an eye on cost and sustainability while scaling systems and solutions
Act as a technical advisor in cross-team projects and architectural decisions
In the first month, you could:
Define SLOs for at least three critical processes, establishing baselines for performance and reliability
Identify quick wins to shorten deployment times and reduce developer friction
Audit cloud infrastructure spending and suggest cost optimization opportunities
Start tracking and analyzing key DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, change failure rate)
In the first 6 months, you should:
Shape and communicate a clear, forward-looking vision for the DevOps function
Take full ownership of the DevOps stack – from infrastructure to tooling to security
Implement structural improvements that streamline the developer experience and delivery pipeline
Build alignment with engineering teams around shared standards and practices
Reshape the team’s direction and ways of working to support both scale and innovation
Establish the Platform team as a trusted, strategic partner across the company

Job requirements
Min. 5 years of experience in DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering roles
Proven experience leading technical teams, ideally in a growing or scaling environment
Deep understanding of cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, etc.)
Strong background in infrastructure-as-code (i.e. Terraform), CI/CD (TeamCity, GitHub Actions), and observability (DataDog, Grafana, LGTM)
Experience working with engineering teams across the full development lifecycle
Excellent communication skills – you can explain complex ideas in simple terms and make a strong case for technical decisions.
Fluent Polish and good command of English
It would be an additional plus if you have:
Experience managing budgets or cost optimization in cloud environments
Knowledge of security standards and DevSecOps practices
Familiarity with platform product thinking and treating internal tools like products
Previous involvement in company-wide infrastructure or DevOps transformations
Passion for board games and you are a dad jokes lover - it's actually a must but we put it here as our HR team believes it’s not crucial (although we kinda think it is)
