Accountant

We’re looking for an Accountant to join our team and independently handle a variety of day-to-day accounting tasks. You will play a key role in maintaining our books and ensuring tax compliance, acting as a reliable point of contact for internal stakeholders and supporting our financial reporting processes.

About the Accounting Team

The Accounting Team ensures that the company’s books are accurate, compliant, and transparent. We are responsible for full-cycle accounting, tax settlements, and financial reporting, supporting the organization in making sound business decisions.

We work closely with Customer Support, Logistics, Management, and other finance functions, and cooperate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and tax authorities to ensure full regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Once you join our Team you will be responsible for:

• Sales/Revenue:
  Verifying, issuing, and booking sales invoices; managing sales returns and corrections; performing regular customer reconciliations supporting sales settlements (with Customer Support).

• Cost/AP (Accounts Payable):
  Processing and booking purchase invoices; handling cost accruals; reconciling vendor statements and managing internal cost documentation.

• Travel Expenses & Credit Cards:
  Verifying and booking business trip settlements (domestic and international) and processing corporate credit card transactions in accordance with company policy.

• Fixed Assets Support:
  Assisting in the maintenance of the fixed asset register, processing monthly depreciation, and supporting periodic inventory counts.

• Tax Compliance & Reporting
  Supporting the preparation of VAT, CIT, and other tax declarations; collecting documentation for EU VIES, GUS, and Intrastat reporting to ensure timely submissions.

• Month-End & Year-End Closures
  Assisting in the technical closing of the books; preparing account reconciliations and gathering necessary documentation for trial balances and financial statements.

• Payment Processing & Treasury:
  Preparing payment proposals; ensuring approved invoices are paid on time; monitoring bank movements and reconciling bank statements.

• Documentation Management & Audit Support:
  Organizing and archiving financial documents; assisting Senior Accountants in preparing files for external auditors and tax advisors.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, including at least 1 years in similar role

• Degree in Finance and Accounting

• Knowledge of accounting and tax regulations

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and strong experience with ERP systems (e.g. FK Symfonia, Netsuite)

• Fluent Polish and at least B2 English

• High accuracy, strong analytical thinking, and decision-making skills

• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving

• Willingness to share expertise and support the development of others

• Availability to work from our Warsaw office 3 days a week

Nice to have (but not required):

• Experience with FK Symfonia accounting software

• Experience in an international e-commerce company
